ZNB Series

Fireclay Bricks (CLAYMAG ZNB)

The ZNB series fireclay bricks (CLAYMAG ZNB) are cost-effective shaped refractories offered by MRL for general-purpose linings in a wide range of industrial kilns and furnaces. Produced using selected clay clinker and soft clay with high-pressure forming and medium-temperature firing, these bricks offer balanced Al₂O₃ content, reliable thermal stability, and resistance to wear and basic slag attack. ZNB bricks are suitable for medium-heat zones, insulation layers, or auxiliary linings in cement, steelmaking, non-ferrous metallurgy, and chemical applications. They are a cost-effective and time-tested choice for structural and repair zones outside the most aggressive high-temperature work areas.

Application

  • Cement Industry: Preheaters, cooler zones, flue ducts, hot-air channels, precalciner chambers.
  • Steelmaking: EAF roofs, hot blast stove linings, ladle permanent linings, safety linings.
  • Non-ferrous & Metallurgy: Smelting furnaces, side-blown converters, reverberatory furnaces, refining walls.
  • Chemical & Other Industries: Sulfuric acid towers, reaction furnaces, combustion chambers and insulation areas.

Cement, Steel, Non-Ferrous, Gasification

Description

  • Good thermal shock resistance for cycling thermal conditions
  • Basic slag resistance for moderate chemical environments
  • Durable against wear and abrasion, extending maintenance intervals
  • Stable thermal expansion and excellent dimensional integrity
  • Solid mechanical strength suitable for structural applications
