Magnesia-Alumina-Carbon Bricks (CARBONMAG MAC)
The CARBONMAG MAC series is a range of high-performance magnesia-alumina-carbon bricks offered by MRL for demanding steelmaking applications. Manufactured using premium magnesia, fused alumina, and natural flake graphite, these bricks are shaped under high pressure and bonded with advanced resin systems. The combination of alumina’s strength, magnesia’s corrosion resistance, and graphite’s thermal flexibility results in excellent performance under extreme operating conditions. MAC bricks provide superior resistance to slag attack, high-temperature steel penetration, and thermal cycling. They are ideal for critical refractory zones in ladles, converters, and electric arc furnaces, especially where anti-spalling and mechanical durability are essential. A full range of MAC grades is available to match various operational needs, with different MgO–Al₂O₃–C ratios.
