HMB Series
Pure Magnesia Bricks (PURIMAG HMB)
The HMB Series represents MRL's’ long-standing expertise in pure magnesia bricks, a product line dating back over six decades. Made from various grades of high-purity sintered or fused magnesia, HMB bricks are shaped under high pressure and fired at elevated temperatures to deliver exceptional basic slag resistance, high thermal conductivity, and structural integrity. These bricks are widely used in both working linings and safety linings of steel and non-ferrous metallurgical furnaces, where alkaline slags and extreme temperatures demand robust refractory performance.
Application
- Steelmaking: Electric arc furnaces (EAF), basic oxygen furnaces (BOF), hot metal mixers, ladles, safety linings.
- Non-ferrous & Metallurgy: Flash smelters, non-ferrous converters, reverberatory furnaces.
- Chemical & Other Industries: Submerged arc furnaces, calcium carbide furnaces.
