AMC Series

Alumina-Magnesia Carbon Bricks (CARBONMAG AMC)

The AMC Series by MRL features alumina-magnesia carbon bricks specially designed for use in the slag line, wall, and bottom of steel ladles. Manufactured using fused alumina, high-grade magnesia, and natural flake graphite, these bricks are formed under high pressure and cured at low temperatures with resin bonding technology. They offer superior resistance to molten steel infiltration, slag corrosion, thermal shock, and spalling, along with excellent high-temperature mechanical flexibility.

Application

  • Steelmaking: BOF ladles, LF refining ladles, VOD ladles, twin ladle refining systems- used for critical working linings of ladle walls and bottoms.
  • Chemical & Other Industries: High-temperature reaction vessels and furnace linings requiring erosion resistance (customized per user requirements).

Steel, Gasification

Description

  • Fused alumina-enhanced matrix for superior infiltration resistance and hot strength
  • Excellent structural toughness and flexibility at high temperatures
  • Effective spalling and thermal shock resistance in cyclic environments
  • Good compatibility with both acidic and basic slags
  • Multiple Al₂O₃–MgO ratios to suit different ladle service life targets
