MRL Holds 2024 Safety Awareness and Consultation Day to Reinforce Workplace Safety

June 2024 marks the 23rd National Work Safety Month in China, under the theme: "Everyone Speaks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response — Ensuring Smooth Life Channels." In alignment with this national campaign, Marvels Refractories Limited (MRL) held its annual Safety Awareness and Consultation Day at 10:00 AM on June 16.

The event was honored by the presence of leaders from the Taian County Emergency Management Bureau and Taian Economic Development Zone, who visited the site to offer inspection and guidance, reflecting their strong support for MRL’s safety initiatives.

Organized by MRL’s EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Department, the event featured a series of engaging and educational activities designed to enhance employee participation and awareness. These included a safety knowledge quiz with prizes, employee safety commitment signing, and declarations from worker representatives reaffirming their dedication to safe practices.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Wang Jian, Vice President of Production, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of safety as a long-term strategic priority. He called on all departments to leverage this Safety Month as an opportunity to advance the company’s ongoing “Three-Year Fundamental Safety Action Plan,” with particular focus on identifying and rectifying major potential hazards.

Mr. Wang also stressed the need to strengthen front-line safety management through practical and timely improvements to operational safety measures. This includes proactive risk elimination at the source and refining emergency preparedness procedures. Through safety accident case studies, emergency drills, and grassroots education, MRL aims to embed a safety-first mindset at every level of the organization.

All participating employees signed a public Safety Commitment Wall, demonstrating their shared responsibility in maintaining a safe work environment. Over 200 safety knowledge booklets were distributed during the event to further support employee learning and awareness.

MRL remains fully committed to the principle of “Safety First, Prevention-Oriented, Comprehensive Management.” By continuously strengthening its safety systems and cultivating a strong safety culture, the company strives to build a fundamentally safe, stable, and sustainable workplace for all.
